hung the paint skins for the walls in two different ways. seams of the skin going vertically and horizontally. horizontally creates more tension on the seams and is structurally unstable also this test included hanging one large 10x16ft skin, which made it extremely difficult to install. the tear in the corner happened during installation which after multiple slap tests it created more stress and continued to tear until it fell. vertical installation is far more stable and passed the slap tests. this was also installed in two 4x12ft sections with an additional test of patching the two sections with a 2x12ft skin strip. installation was easier and quicker.

slightly larger, slightly chaotic
the past few weeks i have been working on creating several large sheets of paint in order increase the scale of my sculptural paintings or painterly sculpture, it works both ways. as well as producing ideas for several prints, that include both imagery and text or just text after I realized I was getting too complicated.
a second look
after taking a full day off from the studio and thinking about anything art related, i decided to clean and organized a couple things, and look back at a couple pieces that frustrated me, or had become a product of an accident in the past two weeks. taking time to appreciate the hidden beauty among these "ruined scraps".
